Founded in 1994 as the Southern California Land Rover Club (SCLR), our brand quickly became a recognized presence. Land Rover NA was protective of their name, leading to a rebrand in 2022 as the Southern California Rover Club (SCRC).
Our non-profit promotes off-highway vehicle recreation for Land Rover enthusiasts. With a legacy spanning three decades, SCRC unites a passionate community eager to explore California’s diverse terrains.
From rugged backroads to harsh deserts and breathtaking vistas, SCRC showcases what Land Rovers were built for—proving they’re far more than "mall crawlers." Monthly trips let members share expertise, tackle remote trails, and create unforgettable memories. Our members drive a wide variety of vehicles, from classic Rovers to the newest models. In 2024, we expanded membership to include INEOS Grenadier owners, fostering even greater diversity and camaraderie.
Looking ahead to 2025, SCRC is elevating the off-road experience with “resume trail” runs, celebrated for beauty, history, and challenge. We’re also introducing lifestyle experiences to deepen connections and engage families on and off the trail.
