About Me:
Born and raised here in Southern California, my love of the outdoors started early in life and included a lot of hiking leading to a modest amount of backpacking. That is until I got my D-90 in 1999, and from there I haven’t looked back from vehicle-based adventures.
Favorite Destinations:
Somewhere in the mountains. Perhaps because of my backpacking background, I find that I prefer that, at some point, to end up in the tree line, with bonus points if there are abandoned mines, cabins, or other ruins from our past. For most of my life that has been in the Eastern Sierras, the San Bernardino mountains, or more recently the Panamint Range. I am enjoying exploring areas further north in California and I want to spend more time in southern Utah.
Why I Love SCRC:
I originally joined the club back in ‘99/’00 and was active for a few years before life intervened and drew my attention elsewhere, which led to my D-90 sitting unused. I was thrilled after resurrecting the D-90 in 2022 to find the club still going and joined up again in 2023. SCRC has a great group of people who enjoy using their vehicles to get them to beautiful places and who are quick to lend one another a helping hand along the way.
