About Me:

I'm a simple man, loving life as much as the next person. I get great satisfaction in teaching and showing others the good means of life. We all go through the ups and downs in our daily lives, but once I strap in my truck I'm on an adrenaline high. Any chance I get to drag my feet in the dirt I'm all over it.

Favorite Destination:

I'm fortunate to live near Joshua Tree National Park, Salton Sea & Anza-Borrego Park. Being so close to all these locations I love rolling around over the many available off-roading trails in my area. Every time we've had our Rover Rendezvous in Big Bear I love taking the 2N01 from Pioneertown  up the back way into Big Bear, I get my off-roading in before the event even starts. I've traveled all the trails around the mountains in Big Bear, but I find Holcomb Creek one of my favorites. It's a thrill to conquer the rock gardens in one piece, of course with great spotting from our club members.

Why I Love SCRC:

I became a member in 2010 when I got my truck from a Northern California Rover Club member. I was looking for an entry level truck to fulfill my passion of off-roading and the D1 was the best fit for me. It had a few bells and whistles but it was pretty much stock at the time.  On the first day of trail running with the club I felt I could trust the senior guy’s with my life out on the trails. I was hooked with the way they attack the trails with so much compassion with safety around every corner, over every mountain, over every rock. Someone once told me “it’s a rock, climb over it” I have never forgot his words. Every time I approach a rocky section I think of his words and I safely climb over them. Over all these years I have made many friendships on and off the trails. If you like dirt & rocks over concrete & asphalt this is a way of life that grows within your soul…it’s exciting to know so many others feel the same. Our member Tim Cummings was the catalyst to inspire me to buy a Land Rover and join the club. He his been a tremendous addition to my life on and off the trails. I could name so many other guy’s & gal’s in the club that I’ve always looked up to and admire with their knowledge of this sport. Regardless what condition you find yourself in we will always find a way to get you out of it safely, we never leave anyone behind. It’s always a trill to hit the dirt & rocks with the group…it’s truly amazing to see just what you can get your truck in, over, up and out of…
