The trail is mostly easy with some rocky sections, mild ruts, and uneven grades. The western portion is smoother and more forested, while the eastern side becomes a bit rougher with fallen rocks, steeper edges, and weathered segments. Occasional mud and loose terrain may require attention, especially during spring time. Also keep an eye on intersections to stay on this road.
This trail is in the historic gold country of San Bernardino National Forest that was once thriving with activity during the gold rush of the 1860's.
